Meet Melanie

Meet Melanie Domski, the Lead Designer and Vice President of Sovrano Home and Sovrano Home Décor. Previous Owner of INA MAY Designs in Calgary, Alberta. Melanie has been designing and renovating residential and commercial spaces since 2006. Her design experience began in the beautiful town of Oakville, Ontario where she was born and raised. Her Mother worked in the design field and was always at the sewing machine creating beautiful pieces for many homes throughout Oakville. From furnishings to window coverings and custom home decor, Melanie witnessed it all being created as a child growing up and no doubt her Mother sparked that design passion within her. 

After high school, Melanie's passion for Health and Wellness led her to an education in the Dental Field. She graduated Dental Hygiene in Ontario and furthered her education at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. She worked in the dental field for 15 years before returning to University to study Interior Design. After graduating from Interior Design at the University of Calgary, she has continued to work on many renovation projects throughout Alberta.

Feng Shui and balance within the home is very important to Melanie. Melanie has been studying Feng Shui and positive energy in the home for over 10 years. She utilizes these skills in every project and can show you how your home can become more balanced and connected to your inner peace.
